Are Politicians Vane?

FaceBook on a Wall
Last month Slate Magazine had a fun – and very revealing, article on how to judge the degree of vanity of US senators. They actually came up with the Senate Vanity Index, a formula to measure the level of egotism based on the displays in each member’s office. They counted displays of awards, memorabilia and photos taken with celebrities.

No surprise, John Kerry topped the list with 99 pictures of himself displayed.

We don’t know if there is a photo of Andrew “don’t tase me bro” Meyer on the wall, but I’m sure Kerry won’t ever forget the event. Besides, there are plenty of reminders still up on YouTube.
